It's a shame that these two never met up in the Bowl. They were the best 2 teams in the NFL from 88-93.

FAMOUS NO PUNT GAME. its funny, i always thought this bills team matched up better with the 49ers instead of the cowboys. they almost played in 3 sbs..

checkmateforever said it as concisely as you can. I'll elaborate by also saying I'm thoroughly confused as to why the NFL(even having its OWN DAMN NETWORK) doesn't air their older classics with any regularity(as in stuff before 1990.) I used to think it was so they could make money from DVD anthologies in the future but in another five years I seriously doubt anyone other than NFL history buffs will even care to buy that kind of thing. Otherwise I've no idea why they've hold out.

PITTSBURGHESE86 was right. San Fran went to the two super bowls right before Buffalo strung together their four straight appearances.
