If you look closey to the shell of waverider and cloudburst, you can some animal-detalis. Waverider fronthalf of the shell looks like the face of a whale. And Cloudburst has almost the face of a bird.

@TheRhuen Hmm... well, now that I think about it, Sari may have been based more along the lines of the idea offered by Beast Machines.

Probably for the best. Seeing Sari's skin suddenly be only a shell which releases a small robot would be kind of scary. Though that's me.

and somehow by the grace of...satan maybe...a Pretender got in the second movie, the Slutbot, I remember kids thinking she was based on Sari from the Transformers Animated show, nope slutbot and Sari are both based on the Pretenders.

Actually you have a point. This doesn't make any sense. It's a Transformer inside a shell that releases itself. I don't see what the point is in it myself.
