7 to 11 June 2007 attempt at circumnavigating Kauai in an inflatable Innova Sunny kayak. This video covers the section from Hanalei to Kekaha where I gave up because of a bad weather and wave forecast and I was exhausted.

Hey thanks, yes the trip was a blast although difficult, particularly the east coast (part 1)where the winds waves and reefs caused various problems. It is a great feeling going up a beautiful coastline with everything you need uncertain of what lies round the next headland.

And that sunset was from Kalalau, the sun was amazingly clear all the way to the ocean. That evening was amazing for various other reasons as well..........

Thanks Bob, I encountered strong winds of the southwest corner and strong winds and large south swell in the forecast persuaded me to stop, I'm already regretting it.

@gruuz I plan to do more trips this year, probably back on Kauai and maybe around the coasts of Molokai time permitting.

Hi,
The scenery and music are great. I am purchasing an innova sunny kayak this week. Have you used the boats on rivers? What are the limits of this boat from your experience?

Just used it on short river trips, great on calm water. Rough waves fill the boat up with water (maybe new Sunny has self bailing not sure). Other than that it is a great boat and I have had enormous fun on it.
