Will 'Slumdog Millionaire' beat 'Curious Case of Benjamin Button' for best picture at the Oscars? Peter Travers of Rolling Stone dishes with Gold Derby blogger Tom O'Neil of TheEnvelope.com at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards
I don't think Penn is a slamdunk by any means. He lost the Globe, and while I expect he will win the Actors Guild Award. I say he and Rourke split the vote allowing either Eastwood or Langella to win the damn thing.
Peter Travers and Roger Ebert are two the best critics out there imo

Travers endorses garbage movies.

I like Peter Travers a lot. His top ten lists are usually very good. I personally disagree with his review of "W."

I completely agree with what he said about WALL-E. It totally deserves the nomination.
And I'm surprised (and overjoyed) to hear that Sean Penn is considered a slamdunk.
