COMING SOON...STAY TUNED
A look inside a tragedy through the eyes of a survivor. Based on actual events, April Showers is about picking up the pieces in the direct aftermath of school violence. Set in a middle class suburban neighborhood, April Showers focuses on the lives of a handful of teachers and students as they attempt to make sense of a world that has just been turned upside down by one of their own. With the community and an entire nation caught up in the 'story', the students of Jefferson High must turn to one another for answers. In the wake atrocity, the rifts caused by misinformation and a frenzied media prove difficult to overcome. Lost and lonely under the international spotlight, one young man navigates his way through his almost indiscernible home. From quaint suburban town to battlefield turned media circus, Jefferson High provides the backdrop for Sean's struggle to cope with the loss of his friend April.

  • The movie really should have just a PG-13 rating. the events in the movie were based off of bullying that leads to school violence and whatnot in high school. The message needs to be made to the youth of America, like myself. It should be played at schools throughout the country. Nobody thinks this can happen to them UNTIL it happens to them. we need to prepare for the worst and stop the bullying.

  • the R rating is ridiculous my sister Jenna Edwards is one of the producers, ive seen the movie dozens of times and I'm 14 trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about.

    The movie is amazing!

  • this is why i dont bully anyone 4 cuz in the past i was bullied so i know what it is like and nobody wants another columbine 2 happen

  • @fuckcomments actually you're right. especially with the barrage of suicides that we've been having lately in the past month from these students that have been bullied. it's sad and sickening and i really wish people would just stop. unfortunately, you're right. that won't happen. I try my hardest to be a decent person to everybody. I've never bullied anybody because who am I to make someone's life hell and I don't even know what they're going through. You made a good point.

  • @Rylee2010 heh...I think the whole idea behind all this is that you can't do anything to prevent these things from happening. If someone wants to do this, you are not going to stop them unless you take a firearm and engage them in a very close distance. The point of all this is to show that society warps students into killers when they bully them relentlessly. You don't need more security to stop school shooters, you need love and acceptance for all..we know that will never happen, so die!

  • @Rylee2010 No it never covered bullying at all and it barlley talked about the killers.

  • yoo hoo

  • yoo hoo

  • @TigerMilitia im sorry you had to go through that. but i guess your right. you just have to look at it as an empty shell..it's actually kind of nice to look at it that way. that their soul isn't there anymore, hoping its gone to a better place, and its just the shell left behind. i can definitely see how that would help

  • @ilsmf

Not a person anymore the way i was trained when i was in the Army is just think of it as meat and ignore it, and i did made it a lot easier to handle. Especially when my squad found the bodies of two dozen civilians executed by firing squad..thats ent a couple of soldiers into breakdown.

They aren't people anymore their souls/energy/lifeforce has gone it's just a empty shell left behind.

It's a horrible experience so i can imagine what the responders have to go through.

  • @selenaademifans Exactly. And there's ways to get around R-rated movies. maybe just send home permission slips as to whether they can watch it or not. I don't know, there's so many people my age now and days that blow stuff like this off. But the problem is very much there and very real, unfortunately.

  • @Rylee2010 I totally agree. Even though teachers could have a problem with showing kids a R-rated movie, it's true, and has a good message.
