I grew up in Farmingdale, from my birth in 1955 to 1970. I remember that Grumman was nearby and building the "Lunar Module" in those days. Also recall seeing all kinds of experimental aircraft flying out of Grumman. Don't recognize many of the sights, but sure was surprised to see "Adventureland" is still there! I suppose the old downtown movie theater is gone, it was just down from the library. Great place to live, thanks for posting.
