Portal 2 Interview with Erik Wolpaw - ThumbCulture

ThumbCulture took 3 questions from the Steam Community and from internet. I was one of the lucky guys whose question got picked.
My question was: Is Portal 2 related (or connected) to Half-Life 2: Episode Three?

I was sure they wouldn't answer it but it was worth the try :)
Thanks to ThumbCulture we now know that there won't be a demo before the release. :( But they said they would give us a surprise before the release of Portal 2. Something to bridge the gap between Portal and Portal 2 :)

@megacaviagek I bet he was nervous and he said that he was very new at this :) Even though thanks to him we now know that there is no demo coming out. I don't blame him I would have been worst. :( Being in front of Erik Wolpaw would have put my hands shaking.

Yep. Same will be with P2. You don't know the game, so everything is new. But on the second walkthrough you will be a lot faster.

@DiePoente It actually took me 6 hours the first time. 2nd PC game I ever played. Its 45 minutes now. Considering it took 6 hours.....yeah. It'll take a while on my first time through.

The SP will take around 6-8 hours. The most people needed 2 hours to beat Portal. And I don't believe you that you've finished it on the "first" playthrough in 45 minutes without making a speed run. Without seeing everything.

@pkcrossing89 It takes me the same time too now. But I bet the first time through it was a couple of hours if not more.

Still it will be worth every penny.

i've reduced my time to about 1 hour for beating Portal 1, about 3 hours the first time sooo Portal 2 will prob take me about 10-12 hours the first time :) the longer the better
