I've worked with some autistic children during my time as an outdoor activity instructor and one memory always makes my heart filled with joy.

During an abseiling session we had an autistic child who got very frightened to go down the wall but really wanted to do it. In the end he panicked and didn't go. But the next day he was offered another chance and he did it with lots of help from an awesome instructor. The male teacher was nearly in tears. It was amazing to be part of this moment.
