Kaleidoscope is the university's annual festival and open house event. It was established in 1985 to open the campus to its neighbors, highlight the academic pursuits of the university and celebrate the diverse array of individuals and activities that help make CSULB the unique campus community that it is.
More than 30,000 people attend Kaleidoscope each year. The festival traditionally features more than 200 exhibits and displays, including games, rides, hands-on demonstrations and food and retail booths sponsored by students, staff, faculty and community groups. The festival is fun and educational for people of all ages. Parking and admission are free.
