Jazz Pianist Oscar Peterson plays a special concert in Montreux, beginning by playing alone he is then joined by Ray Brown and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, two of the greatest jazz bassists.
Oscar Peterson - Piano Ray Brown - Bass NHØP - Bass
I listened to this today on my Emmerson retro radio turntable with a ceramic cartridge. Couldn't really hear the bassists but Oscar was really loud and clear. I thought it was bad mike placement even though I know the 'wide range' speakers on this thing don't have any bass response. Once renovations on my place are done, I'll hook up my component system and listen again. It's been nearly 30 years since I first heard this.
