im from red rock.... sad day i tell ya. there was 2200 ppl in red rock, mill closed... there is only like 600 there now. the neighboring town of nipigon had a plywood mill. it burnt to the ground. that town was 2600... now a mere 1000. all within 3 yrs. the government doesnt care, and townships arent doing FA about it.... cept spend 500 grand on a water fountain. way to go.

We all thought that the closing of the mill would kill our town.
Slowed it down sum for sure.

Damn sad sound for the last time. I worked at a mill in Texas for 17 years beforen they shut it down in 2004 and sent 600 of us home. Nothing like making paper. Had a great time and got paid well to boot. I miss it. Good luck to all of you.

worked for st regis in the uk for 17 years shut us down in 2006.....sad time
