Yessss!! you have found one of the greatest reggae releases of ALLTIME. The great Jah Shaka once played this tune at my local domino/sunday school/church/dancehall in the Midlands (1981), i witnessed the roof crumbling and plaster falling on our heads as the bass rumbled and made me ill to the bone. if you can find this "dubplate mix" then get it before it's gone forever.

  • Hey Mikige1 I'm pretty sure there's a sound recording on the internet somewhere of an early 1980s Jah Shaka session where this song was being played. I heard it once.

  • The bass line to this tune would have been one of Jah Shaka's theme tunes. most big sounds would have had to drop this tune early to get one over on the other sound, so if you come dance late...then you missed this riddm. Daddy Kools Londdon, sold a lorry load of this dub.

  • Drift away from evil is imo their best album. The last two songs are the shit! But so is the rest of the album.

  • "whole heap ah daught" is another tune that i used to play on a regulars. thanks for tuning in

  • "she's the queeeeeeen of the ghetto" she lives in the heart of the city, down there where there is no pity...... are we talking the 1982 version here? if so, then i'm your man wid the 12" version.
