I remember being in the guitar dept at Windows Music shop in Newcastle one time, and he walked in with his dad to try some guitars out, many years ago when he was tiny (and on TV all the time). Then i met up with him years later and went over to his house, what a huge guitar collection he had (plus a couple i recognised that belonged to Vai).
I think the last time i ever spoke to him was when i rang him up to wish him a happy birthday on his 18th birthday.
this video does a grave diservice to the kid...who likely was way better then this video shows. but his timing is so hack-ed up and his playing is kind of crappy improv....reminds me of the "vai shreds" parody videos....maybe we should rename this "mcrocklin shreds"
sorry to all who like it...this is EXACTLY why grunge NEEDED to happen by the dawn of the 90's
wish i could find anything bout him on myspace or facebook, he was my favorite!!!

How long ago was this made??? If the kid has been practicing, time to do a new one.

Remember seeing him at Newcastle City Hall guesting for Joe Satriani, and seeing him play at the Broken Doll pub on old Blenhiem street, Newcastle.
