I 66 Virginia HOV Police trap State troopers hard at work makeing money for our state with tickets. You can try going though one of these traps with a mannequin. One pot smoking fool get lucky and flys by. The police make money on tickets.
Like fighting real crime, hanging out in annadale arresting MS 13 members, drug dealers, it just makes me said seeing our police "taxing" the working man. Rules are rules and I don't break the HOV laws, but you sees these cops there almost every day with lines of cop cars and uncles sams money being spent taking money from hard working people. It just seems like a complete oxymoron.
19digupherbones again added to the argument now for the second time. The point is wasted tax dollars. I love law enforcement. I have actually had relations with a few officers, its a fetish of mine. My point here and based on what I heard in the video, is that our officers could find something better to do with there time. Instead of wasting "uncle sams funding" as you have made very clear pays for this, that money could be put towards a better cause instead of chasing the working man
Hey DC you obviously know nothing about how this is run. These troopers are on their regular shift working, if they opt to make overtime they can sign up for the Hov overtime project which is funded by uncle sam. These troopers are making no where near 80 dollars an hour, if this enforcement wasn't done Hov would be pointless.
Hey Jackass (19digupherbones) I guess you are either deaf or dumb, or maybe you need some speakers. Clearly the person speaking in the video is pointing out all the resources e.i. cars, police, gas, monies, being spent here to run this operation. And your point about the revenue going to the county and not state further expresses this arguement. There are 15 state cops out there, some old guys you know are making bank running this op. and no revenue is coming in to the state police for it.
Hey jackass, just FYI..... the money generated by HOV summonses doesnt go to the state or state employees, the state sees no benefit. HOV revenue goes to the county it was written in. In this case Fairfax Co. Dead tags, inspections, suspended drivers (most likely you), drugs, drunks, and wanted persons are found conducting HOV stops. Oh and by the way let me catch you with that mannequin.. you WILL lose it.
Ok so lets say they stop HOV enforcement. I want to see your video when your sitting in worse traffic trying to get to work. 66 would be a massive parking lot if it did not have HOV restrictions inside the beltway. You can think Arlington County for this, without HOV they would not have allowed 66 to be build through Arlington Co. The money for this is specific for HOV and for overtime. Many Suspended drivers, DWI's, and Drug arrest come from this enforcement as well.
@kraas
The fine for a HOV violation is $185

FUCK THE POLICE!

I'm sure these violators have to pay a fine. If you add up all the fines I'm sure it covers the police salary for the hours that they were working.
