Chris Reed does a great job explaining how good body position can help a rider get the most out of their: attention, lean angle, contact patch, braking and acceleration. Chris also shows how and why (while cornering) the forces and skills are interactive and that by knowing how they work together a rider will ride with more control, geater safer - and faster.

  • @Sk8co This isn't necessarily true. I have long legs and I can touch a knee down despite the fact that I still have chicken strips. Your position should be relaxed; it is easy to stiffen up in an effort to hang off excessively in order to drag a knee. Chicken strips, on the street, aren't a great indicator of rider skill either. Some people will argue that if your body position is correct and you're cornering properly that there is no way you'll use the entire tire at anywhere near legal speeds.

  • @MrReed1432 well then it kinda is a goal... cuz if you get it down youre doing it right... people like an indicator.

  • @eyeeyeful getting your knee down should be the result of everything done correctly. Most people think it's a goal.

  • Interesting how little he says he needs to get his knee down. I spend every minute trying to!
