So sad how lucy dies, I remember her saying thank you to them fro trying to save her. Hey guys I need some info on an episode where Carter let a criminal die & didn't do much to save him cos he knew he'd been a murderer but his conscience was killing him. Anyone remember what episode this was? I remember him sitting in a stairwell at the end talking to someone about it.

I watched this episode the night it aired originally aired, I can tell you no one expected this episode to end the way it did. It was typical ER fare, with the run of the mill traumas, a dying patient, Carter ignoring Lucy's difficulties, all with a celebration tying everything together. These episodes have come and gone and all have ended happily. To see Carter and Lucy brutally attacked was shocking, and unexpected. It was as if someone grabbed you by the throat and would not let go.
