Active Isolated Stretching is based on muscle activation combined with gentle assistance. In this stretch, while lying on your back lift your leg and cross it over the opposite leg. When you cannot go any further, gently assist the stretch by using a rope, towel or partner for 2 seconds, then release and return the leg to the floor/table.
