So then, I guess you don't have to wait for the colors to dry. Well, maybe I'll give oils a try very soon then.

....I just don't think an economic down turn is enough of a reason to paint politically. It's not like were in some fascist civil war... at least not literally, LOL. Plenty of artist were broke as shit and didn't paint it... They painted prostitutes, landscapes, street models and so on... I don't think I need to type this anyway... Keep up the real art that flies high and I'll continue to raise eyebrows.

I apologize to BTSchnauzers now but please ignore that. I feel that your landscapes and some of your nudes captured enough of modern psychiatric social commentary. You should drop another of those melancholy paintings of your old lady. Those were some of my favorite. You can really nail that expression and I really love art that makes me sad & happy at the same time... The ones that put you inside the models mind and reflect on mortality......

Hey Paul,
why don't you stir the pot a bit and do some political pieces and make a statement about this new economy that is emerging. If I had time to paint, I sure as hell would. Make some big statements and you're sure to raise some eyebrows. Time to be a real artist dude! Open your wings and fly!
I like this piece. It's fun and colorful, a sense of joy in trying times. Uplifting. Did you do this all in one sitting? Or is it the magic of editing? I use acrylics and I always thought one had to let each color dry when painting with oils before moving on to the next color. I've wanted to try oils for a while now, but didn't think I had the patience for it.
