Halloween in the 1960s

An ode to the Halloween of my youth, made from old home movies with added video tricks, plus a musical treat from The Shaggs! Trick or Treat!

Filmed in 1965 & 1966 by Grandpa, in 1967 by Daddy, at the Martens home and the Clarkstown Reformed Church in West Nyack, NY. Mangled and manipulated by yours truly, Robert Martens.

OMG! That song is horrible! Who were the Shaggs? I love this little horror film and I was laughing a lot!

I loved this video. I wasn't born around this time (not until '79) but my parents were. They were kids in the mid 60's (probably near your age) so I can totally picture them running around dressed up for Halloween. This video gives me insight into my parents time as kids. thanks!
