  • Anything magical people have to call cheezy now. I guess it makes them feel more like legimate, modern humans. Kind of sad, really.

  • @SanguineUltima too right. not only is it not cheesy, id say its more relevant now than it was then from a certain point of view

  • @IDFPleonexia Yes, you are right. But i wanted to explain it in a simple way to Luckzzz, seeing that his english is not that good. Like you said, it affects the way our neurons get their transmit signals from glutamate. And as you know, Brain cell is a generic term for the neurons and glial cells. In a simple way, alcohol is toxic, and may cause negative effects on our body and brain. Immobilizing the neoruons, making them useless.

  • Many a night spent with this and friends...Its all good...pass it on...

  • @IDFPleonexia Thought you were refering to psychedelics, not booze. the thread wasn't that clear structured like now. but you sound pretty stressed, btw have you ever heard about absinth ;-)

  • @AldousLeary What in the hell are you rambling on about? Do you know any alcoholics? Have you even encountered one before? There is no neural development, their creativity isn't amplified, they are cognitively slower and frequently slur their words. Long-term alcohol (ab)use dampens the brain's ability to function properly. You should really study biology before you start spouting shit about, "brain treasure unlocked by being a boozehound."

    *facepalm*

  • @IDFPleonexia The cells become useless? Or they conenct in new ways, leaving paths that already have been gone, seeking new connections, imagine a meme meeting another one that by "everyday-brain-thinking" would make no sense, but you find a treasure by giving the brain the possibility to newly explore this and dig a treasure. Fact is, usually 90% of our brain isn't used, so what do you say if what you call "losing the ability (of cells) to communicate properly" is a way to create imagination-

  • @HardRockLover Actually it doesn't kill brain cells, it damages the neural pathways. So... in a sense, you still have the same amount of cells, they just start to lose the ability to communicate properly and thus become useless. That's scarier than losing brain cells, imo. Lol.

  • @HardRockLover Thanks for the info buddy

  • @Luckzzz Well, Psychedelic drugs makes you open the doors of perception, it helps you grasp things in a different way. Alcohol clouds your judgement, sure it makes you feel great and happy, but it still clouds your mind and kills your brain cells, that is a scientific fact.

  • @HardRockLover Everyone has a different feeling.. I've never used drugs (only weed, if we can call it this way), but alcohol makes me feel opened to new ideas.. The question is what you are thinking and if your vibrational field is ok.. If you think shit, shits will come to you.. (sorry for my english)
