Well, basically this was shot with a Canon SX130 IS on a cheap tripod (somewhat heavy). Not sure how to describe it... the 3 legs were as short as possible (so I didn't bump into the tripod while walking... which I did a couple of times), with the "neck" extended as much as possible. That's where I held the whole thing. I know you can hack the tripod to get a better result, but I still wanted to use the tripod as a tripod. IS was activated, this is just the raw footage cut together, with no colour grading etc. (and cut very badly). You can also hear the noise the camera makes and picks up (especially where the Aston Martin is. I think this is a big improvement over just handholding the camera, though obviously there are better steadicams out there. It works well at removing the up and down during walking, though the camera easily turns left or right. And obviously it looks pretty weird.
