'A Thousand Year Dream'
================================
Bongwhang, a Divine Bird, is known to have appeared during the Era of Sohokumcheon-ssi (少昊 金天氏). It was not a totem but was related to the Calendar System. The oldest Bongwhang pattern shows in the inscriptions on bones of Shang dynasty and in the Bronze Age. The first written record about Bongwhang shows in [Sanhaekyung], a collection of Dongyi mythology : "There was Mt Dan-Hyul(丹穴/a hole where red sands come out from). There lived a bird called Bongwhang. Its head means Virtue, its wings mean Justice, its back means Obeisance, its breast means Benevolence and its belley means Credence. It appears and sings for the peace of Heaven and the Earth."
Bonwhang is the symbol of God of the Winds, which manages Seasonal Winds and Calendar system. Since Bongwhang originated from the East, in the culture of Zhou(周) people, the western tribe, they didn't have any ideas about Bongwhang and its symbol.
Another symbol of Bongwhang is 'the Messenger of Heaven'.
In the East Coast of today's China, there people who worshiped birds lived. They used to be called 'Dongyi, Joyi (Bird-Yi)' Some who lived below the Yangtze River were called 'Doyi. Each tribe was called different names but all were the people who worshiped birds.
Dongyi in Shangdong worshiped Sohokumcheon-ssi (少昊 金天氏) as their ancestral God. Soho named 24 government officials after names of 24 different kinds of birds : the top official was called Bongwhang-ssi, which means Bongwhang was considered the Bird of the birds during the Era of Sohokumcheon-ssi. During Shang dynasty, people worshiped Bongwhang as God of the Winds, and God of the Winds, Bongwhang was the messenger from Heaven. Korean Professor Kang Jin-Seok

  • you're a genius.

  • 아 뜨끔!

이거 제 작업이 아니고요, daum의 '한국고대사'까페에서 자료를 가져온 것입니다.

I have made this one by the help of one Korean history site.

  • I think 'Bongwhang' here means 'Taehoboki'. In Handan-Kogi, Taehoboki's family name is 'Bong' and it means 'Bongwhang'.

  • Go Korea !

  • Thanks for my western brother.

they were also huns. sohokum is kaya kim which is kim hae kim. also some are saying shila kim(kyung ju kim) is sohokum. some are saying they are xianbei.

but i think shila kim ruller was sohokum and some are xianbei.

  • if so ho kum kaya shilla dna was o2b.. then, 02b was also huns right?

  • The current DNA testing and fossil findings in central and east Asia show that Koreans are the oldest ethnic group in this origin.

  • China is occupying on the Korean territory that covers three provinces since 1909.

  • China and Japan have been claiming other nations territories even though they have known that the lands were not theirs. I hope Korea will seek to recover the lost land that currently China is occupying it.

  • If follow the chinese reasoning, it should be other way around. . .

  • right. Shang(Eun),Jung-san,Han,Qin,Silla,Kaya are direct descendants of So-ho-kum-chun-ssi. They are O2b DNA tribes.

  • I think you are confused. North Korea is an independent country.

  • Chinese don't including the 56 ethnics. Chinese mean only Chinese who originated from South east.

  • wtf? free north korea? why the fuck should chinese die for fucking gooktown.

Capture north korea on your own if you can piece of shit. oh yeah u can't but NK army will rape SK gooks back to stone age.
