I'm not a big fan of puzzle games, but I have to make one big exception for Quarth by Konami; in fact I think this is better than Tetris. It's a hybrid of puzzle and shooter. There was a US release for it on the primitive Game Boy black and white, but didn't get much respect as it did in Japan, where Quarth spanned the arcades, and other consoles such as the MSX.

dammit, I have to head back the game shop now. Shopping for GB games I came upon Quarth and stared at it for a minute.
This has even made it as far as those keyring-games with Tetris and "9999" other games; one of the more interesting game options.

Your aim is good btw, its frustrating when we hit a wrong spot and have to pour an extra coat everywhere for no reason XD
Keep you the good work! :D

Hey Toneman! I was randomly looking at stuff and I stumbled on this video and realised you made it, hehe *waves hand*
Quarth is one of the best famicom games I ever had, did you know you can make mega squares for quick points and massive clearups? Colored blocks cleared that way makes cool effects. Try to form a square using the shapes behind the "easy" squares, you'll see how addictive this becomes then :)

I got the Game Boy one. I liked it so much I got two. I might do a video on this one soon.

Yeah I have it on GB too.. it's definitely a fun break from Tetris (although I still prefer Tetris).
The best version is the arcade version, which you can play using MAME.
