I lived on Governors Island in the early 80's with my father when he was in the US Coast Guard. It was one of the most amazing places I ever lived. I want so much to visit NYC again and bring my own son to see the island.

@hermanoguzman Gov Island is definitely worth going to!
The island under Queensboro is called Roosevelt Island, and we've done an episode on its vacuum-powered garbage tubes. Fascinating stuff! Search "Fast Trash" on YouTube to watch it if you haven't already.
