A Journey of 2299.9 miles

9 days on the road is not long. I was just getting started. The people you meet along the way -- that is what makes the trip -- the road and the sites are nice -- but the people. That's the point of a trip like this isn't it? To meet people. We are from so many places.

On a Friday evening in New York City - I listened to Brother Han play his guitar to an audience that consisted of the cars passing by, the streetlamps, lights in buildings, fellow tourists from Germany, a guy riding by on a bike, and me. He sang out looking out over the Brooklyn bridge. He asked for donations to help him buy an ice cream truck that he would use to tour the country with.

The song he sang he said is his happiest song - one he wrote "after he quit his job". Travelling as a vagabond - I knew I had to return one day - but for those 9 days ... well this song seemed appropriate to document that experience.
