The Changeling Survival Ratbike

This is a small clip of an old bike I put together nearly 20 years ago, 1989/90ish, that has been featured in 4 British bike magazines. 'The Changeling', named after the track off the Doors 'L.A. Woman album', is a Suzuki GS1000/GSX1100 hybrid survival ratbike. It was used for couriering in London, used with a trailer for touring all over eastern and western Europe and drag raced with an IHI turbo system. Its being ridden here by its new owner, Nik Samson, editor of 100% Biker mag. Hes just leaving the MC Rottum February Freezer rally in Kent. I've never had a problem with no airbox.....though this has 4 individual S+B filters in the video, that are a bit damp I think. And yes, longer seperate exhaust pipes would help......

on my old gs550 i liked to hold the choke with a little rock (usually found on the ground nearby). that way i can take off, then flick out the rock while i am driveing. my bikes never start out as rats when i get them but after a while they turn into rats... good thing i like rats!
