wow, i've got a lot better with my timing and recording quality since this video.
triggering envelopes in the doepfer which has sequences patched that send control voltage to the juno and itself. So, it's two synth voices following my bass drum.

  • Interesting drum triggering, i wish i could listen to Jojo Mayer doing that.^^

Your drumkit seems good sounding for playing drum&bass, any info on it please (brand size etc ?)

  • it's a pearl rhythm traveler practice kit-

a lot of what you hear is due to my mic placement, eq, and compression. the drums don't sound great, but i love the sound of trashy percussion anyway

  • Keep playing that, and the mothership is going to land on your roof, suck you out of your bed at night, and perform horrific anal probe experiments on you.

  • Damn thats some pretty awesome. I think if you made more long medative tracks like you could sell them. I'd buy one. >.>

  • Fantastic sound and crazy idea.

    Keep up your creativity going....

  • ive always wanted to do this

  • you are fucking mad. in a good way.

  • i dont no why but this video makes me really mad it says drum triggering when it is just that big sound board thing with a crapy pearl travel kit and an anoying humming noise in the back round

  • yeah lol i obviously dont know exactly how youve got it set up, i was just trying to give a simple explanation. either way i think its a cool idea.

  • specifically, the trigger on my bass drum is both stepping the sequencer forward and triggering an envelope which opens and closes the voltage controlled amplifier. The notes change as the sequencer progresses through it's 8 steps.

  • thats interesting, ill look into that or so
