Taking that into consideration, WHY use the phrase when it is so clearly inappropriate. @wind4watts Please do elaborate on your assertion that we have a, 'Presumed guilty,' system? Do you actually know anything about the legal system in the UK? Obviously NOT. You ARE innocent until proven guilty in the UK. The Prosecution must PROVE guilt, if we did have the system you mention, the onus would be on the defence to PROVE innocence. Clearly that is NOT the case in the UK. You are in not position to generalise about whether Police officers in the UK place their lives on the line.

@wind4watts Get your facts right. Nobody was dragged off the tube train. The incident occurred inside the carriage. At the time of engaging the target, the officers involved believed based on intelligence, that he was carrying an IED & was intent on detonating it. When dealing with such a situation, the main priority is the safety of the public, you simply cannot run the risk of an IED going off on a train. As we know, the surveillance operation was bungled & the wrong man was targetted.

I believe that phrase reflects more so on your own negative attitudes towards the Police and authority in general. Perhaps the Police should skip around in a camp fashion like Julian Cleary!?
