Hey folks, kicked out another jam for you guys. This song was inspired by John Butler's "Ocean" and Erik Mongrain's "Airtap". I don't think it sounds anything like those 2 songs (if I were able to write a song like those guys, I could die a happy man), but a lot of these riffs popped into my head while I watched them play. If you haven't seen these songs performed, then prepare to get knocked right on your ass:

Another special thanks to my brother for taking pretty much an entire day to help me record, mix and master this video. I swear I'll learn how to do this on my own one day!

Enjoy!

PS. Stay tuned till the end of this video for a special recording blooper involving a lamp, gravity, and my head.

  • Just stumbled upon you and your music. You play absolutely beautifully, well done on your covers and original songs. Some really seriously awesome stuff in your original work.

Do you happen to know what mic your brother has there? As I will be doing some recording in the new year myself.

    Again, really well done.

  • @TFsean Hey man, thanks for the kind words - I really appreciate the view and your support!

And yes, we normally record with just an Rode NT-4 microphone and the direct line-in from my Taylor guitar. But we've also used an additional Rode NT-2 microphone to capture the room as well. I think it adds quite a bit. Mixing and mastering all done in Cubase.

Good luck recording in the new year! Keep me posted on your vids, I'd like to check 'em out!!

  • Wow, this is really really good!

keep it going man, impressive composition-skills combined with amazing technique =)

    really like this song!

  • @SamuelZeitler Thanks bro. Means a lot coming from a talented guitarist like yourself. Keep on rockin!

  • FANTASTIC!! ALL YOU YOU TUBERS OUT THERE, WE NEED TO HELP ADAM GET MORE VIEWS!! SEND TO YOUR FELLOW FINGERSTYLE FANATICS. HE IS EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS ANY OF THE CANDYRAT ARTISTS!!

ADAM, I WILL BUY YOUR MUSIC. LET ME KNOW IF ANY OF IT IS AVAILABLE. NOT ON iTunes...

  • @themfc Wow! Thanks so much for your view and your amazing praise! It's always a pleasure to put these videos up for fingerstyle enthusiasts like yourself! I'm not so sure if I'm level with the candyrat guys yet, though!

I definitely hope to put out an album one day, if I can find the time to keep writing music! Thanks again!!
