Alphabet Sea - (Original)

This song started out as a poem I wrote shortly after my mother died of Cancer...

On the alphabet sea, all letters afloat,
And I'm searching for meaning alone in my boat,
I catch one more 'P', means nothing to me,
But thats all there is for as far as I see...

I sail on through patches, catching no more,
And then there's a rush as I head towards shore,
I smile as I go after scoring an 'O',
But it still makes no sense so onwards I go..

I'm waiting with Gulls,
Their caw makes me frown, and I'm losing my patience as I bob up and down,
I feel I could cry after scoring an 'I' and shoot all the Seagulls polluting the sky...

I'm trying so hard yet my actions aren't paid as my boats sprung a leak and my tackle has frayed,
I stuggle and then, after scoring an 'N',
I curse as I feel like a mouse amoung men...

Am I wasting my time, here on my own, it's so cold,
Waiting for something to give me that grip, something to hold,
It's a simple fear, tell me why I'm here, and the questions go on and on, year after year,
I said, am I wasting my time here on my own, here on my own...

I've learnt nothing more, I don't understand,
So I decide to give in and head towards land,
But just as I see, I'm hit by a 'T', caught in a wave and washed out to sea...

Man that sucks, this is worth more than that, I mean really I'm one hell of a critic but you just single handedly kicked the shit out of the more popular crap that I hear now and then, But to be fair this is really good song and with musical motivation and other procures its an album.
