President Jim Sinclair BC NDP Convention Speech 09

President of The British Columbia Federation of Labour Jim Sinclair giving a keynote speech at the BC NDP09 Convention here in Vancouver on Sat Nov 28 2009 ,the BCFL
represents more then 50 unions and over 500 000 public & private sector workers in the province. He has been President since 1999 & before that he was with the United Fishermen and Allied Worker's Union , CAW In his speech to a crowd of about 1000 delegates and observers , He tells us , The Rich in our province are getting tax cuts while at the same time the working class and poor are paying more tax and getting wacked with new tax's he says that Tax Cuts have not worked , the Tax increases and new Tax's ( HST BC & ON ) are not paying for social programs , they are paying for corporate tax cuts and tax cuts for the Rich ! ( Corporations & Big Banks ) ! Gov is exporting our LOgs & jobs , Gordon Campbell is not doing a good job with BC economy
regardless of what the Fraser Institute says , his province has the worst unemployment rate in the country , worst child poverty rate in the country , We need Jobs , thats whats wrong with our Economy , not tax increases and says no more tax cuts for the Rich !
Says that we need to have a fair tax system
