@Kelathin Thanks for the offer mate but I have to stick closely now to paid work. The times for building portfolios has long past for me and I now only do CGI for money. As much as I would love to work in the sci fi genre I just can't do anymore unpaid work. The bills can't pay themselves.

If you are looking to built your portfolio more with diversified works, feel free to contact me as I run an indie team working on an sci-fi/fantasy RTS.

Indie would be 'market' speak for independent development. Companies/Development groups that work on developing a game without a traditional publisher financial support. Sites like Moddb, and even Steam have dedicated sections for 'indies' Indies are very wide range from 1 guy working in a garage on a game, to a full team of 15-30 people working in an office. It's also typically on a different scale than a traditional 'mod' since most things are built from scratch or open source.

The new spiderman is interesting, but the mechanics of the game don't interest me that much.
Hey ttandc, you still into modding or you actually in the gaming industry now?
Believe it or not even with all the models I have done I don't even get a reply from studios I apply to. The compitiion must be brutal.

I can imagine the competition is pretty brutal, a lot of artists become freelancers right now due to the economy. Have you considered working on an indie team?

@Kelathin Sorry for the late ( ok very late :D ) reply. But what do you consider an indie team? The term Indie team over here refers to formula 1 racing teams in a racing event held once a year here called Indie.
