For the third time in eight days, police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in the city.
Early this morning, a man robbed the 7-Eleven at 744 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., pointing a handgun at two cashiers and demanding they open the registers. The man then emptied the tills into a plastic bag and took off on foot.
The suspect was wearing a camouflage mask or scarf on his head and what appears to be a black T-shirt covering his face.
Detectives believe he is the same man who robbed the RaceTrac at 905 Woolbright Road on Sept.18 and the Texaco at 645 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
All three armed robberies occurred around the same time frames: The RaceTrac robbery on Sept. 18 was at 4:28 a.m.; The Texaco robbery on Tuesday was at 4:14 a.m.; and this mornings robbery was at 4:51 a.m.
In all three cases, the suspect wore a black T-shirt or bandana covering his face. He is believed to have a tattoo on his right arm.
Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Al Martinez at 561-742-6125 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at (800) 458-TIPS.
