  • Speaking of GBA beat-em up remakes, the greatest version of Double Dragon is on the GBA. I recently played it and it is so awesome. If you guys have a review of it, I'll watch it.

By the way, I just subscribed.

  • Lance reviewed that game for RetrowareTV. You can catch it on our website. (which I can't link here or else youtube doesn't post the comment lol)

  • Great review, Ben. Do you know why they didn't have Guy in Final Fight for the SNES? I was just wondering.

  • Yeah I know. I would have gotten more into that type of stuff but we did the entire final fight series on RetrowareTV, so it seemed kinda redundant.

Lance talks about that in his review of the SNES games more. :)

  • I dont Agree, I still own this and I play it to date, this is still one of my favourite games ever. Take consideration that this isnt a console, It's a handheld. It isnt going to be perfect, But it's pretty damn close.

  • On the main menu in this game if you press "options" , there's this setting called "extend", right under the diffuclty setting. You can chose between "NONE, 200.000EVR, 200.000 and 100.000"

What does this do exactly? I've changed it a couple of times but never seen anything different in terms of gameplay.

  • @bosnia91 the japanese version had roxy and poison

  • Nice review :) I absolutely love Final Fight.

I've still yet to play the Sega CD version of the game, since it's hard to find the consoles for good prices these days, but do you think Double Impact on XBL and PSN has taken back the top spot of best conversion?

  • fucking lame that they didn't include Roxy while Double Dragon Advance has female enemies. They assholes on Capcom where probably just lazy and didn't have a fuck to give.

  • @Squadalha That's why I prefer Mega-CD version, probably the best Final Fight version.

  • Oh man, I love the music. Ah oh well.

  • Nice review and you hit on all the major points. One note would be the removal of the 'Poison' character or female enemy is exclusive to North America/Europe only. The Japanese original Final Fight One has Poison still intact.

  • Music sounds like 8 Bit.

  • best FF port IMO, just one complaint i have. Industrial Zone 1 is replaced by the Slums theme. And instead of hearing it on the final level, u hear industrial zone 2

    damn it capcom

  • @darknight068 Yeah, they should have waited a bit to bring it out.. Final Fight at 16 megs rather than 8 would've been better.. might have been able to include the extra level and Guy.
