Finishing the dogwood foreshaft and notchs. Mixing the native paints in the pit fired clay paint pots. Making natural paintbrushes out of river cane, deer hair and sinew to paint with.

  • @AllergicHobbit - Thanks, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a Caddo Pottery class at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History in Norman Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago. Jeri Redcorn, a Caddo Indian, showed us how to make coiled pots out of red clay. I fashioned my paint pots after ancient Caddo bowls shown us by the museum.
