  • @mmunis You're right, the last technique in the video is actually a Hapkido technique. The location is a dojang (korean cognate for dojo) in Seoul, South Korea.

  • @somewhereinnz aikido is very affective because you can acctually take any technique and no matter how someone goes at you, you can put yourself into a position to do a very effective technique.

  • Every martial art has holes in it. I've been doing martial arts for the last 12 years, aikido for just over a year. The techniques work very well, but from my experience in other martial arts the problem is that the attacks are not those you'd commonly have used against you in the real world. Aikido practitioners would do well to practice in another style at the same time, one using common strikes.

A very good art, but severely lacking in some aspects.

  • anyone can learn it, even little white children!

  • @ueshiba26

No no no, mas. You wrong. Aikido do not use black kimono and aikido students do not hit when the opponent is already on the floor.

  • @mmunis It´s aikido! Tamura was aikido master, Steven Seagal was aikido student, Christian Tissier is 7th Dan by the Aikikai...

  • @erk7xl Did that guy ever show you his results on why Aikido is not practical according to science?

My dad is former Army Ranger and he swears by the effectiveness of this art.

  • Good video

  • @ThePadus Care to show us your results? I would be interested in seeing your scientific research.
