@N89K I think you are mistaken. The beginning of this song is cross-faded with Mark Isham's Raffles in Rio, which is the correct order for the Windham Hill Chill CD. On Melrose, the song before Cool at Heart is Desert Train and it does not cross fade with Cool at Heart. In fact Desert Train fades out over the last 10 seconds of the song.

what a brilliant track this is - i love listening to this song non stop in a fairly dark room - it makes you feel like you are falling into a spiral. very cool!

It's hard to believe that this Cd was released 20 years ago! Tangerine Dream still stands the test of time. I am cool at heart now and for as long as T.D. is around and then some more.

You got this from the Windham Hill Chill CD, didn't you? I recognize the song that's fading out in the very beginning.
I wish they had it on Itunes, because the version I have is all soft and faded.
