Yes, this is a hybrid version of the full-size, truck-based Chevrolet Tahoe. If you're surprised, that's ok. Until recently the prototypical hybrid was a small, oddly-styled passenger car. This, on the other hand, appears to be a typical full-size SUV, but like books and people, what makes this SUV special is hiding beneath the surface.
Equipping a large SUV with hybrid technology may seem counterintuitive; certainly a smaller car-based hybrid would offer better fuel-economy, but the reality is that many people need to haul large amounts of cargo or carry more than five passengers, and they'd like to save the planet, too. The Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid lets buyers retain all the functionality of an SUV while using substantially less fuel.
i dnt think this car is even good for u get a smaller hybrid like the escape hybrid or even the new gmc terrain or its chevy brother

I'd probably prefer the Yukon Hybrid. It has more standard features, and I don't need the truck platform (extra off-road capability and higher towing capacity) in the Tahoe. I am a middle school teacher.. when do I go off-roading or need to tow a lot of weight?

It's like the same thing as the GMC Yukon Hybrid, but slightly less upscale and slightly more truck-like.
