@xander7 It WAS a large campaign, fought around Gallipoli to attempt to open a passage to the Eastern Front. The fight for the Middle East was critical. The first British division deployed in the war was deployed to the Middle East! The European powers fought for strategic interests (Iraq)(The Instanbul-Bagdad Railway the Germans were building before the war) OIL! You don't know this because it undermines the myth of a righteous Allied war and makes WWI look more like the power-squabble it was!
I'm currently reading Manchester's bio of WC. Much of the full history of WC's life has been omitted here: Kitchener's campaign in Sudan, WC's personal profound insight and aid at Antwerp, and a total mischaracterization of Gallipoli. Too bad. Read Manchester. It is a singularly compelling look at this remarkable man and his contributions to the modern world as the British Empire transformed into what it is now. He deserves better than this. It will explain why the french helmet too,kindin10.
Well, I asked you to back up your assertion that Churchill was responsible for more deaths than the holocaust, and you have predictably failed to do so.
The best you can do is to claim nearly one million dead in Bengal.
At least 11 million people were killed in the holocaust.
So, the question remains - were you deliberately lying when you made your statement in order to prove your misguided hatred of WC or are you just a complete moron who does not know any better?
yes I know bit of history and I know how to maintain decorum in a blog. If you are a brit then it's not a surprise to me. Well my statement is correct " He is responsible for killing many more people than the supposed Holocaust". by prolonging the war he is responsible. By forced conscriptions and induced famines in the India, esp. Bengal Famine nearly a million people died as per your BO report. What about Dresden, cologne, hamburg and destruction of french infrastructure like railways/ ships?
Well... the Dardanelles campaign is wrongly characterized as a "go it alone" attempt. Kitchener was supposed to go in all the time!

Did I hear that right? 100,000 died at the Dardanelles? That seems a large number for one campaign. Could it have been 1,000?
