Basic rule in handling hot peppers, always protect your skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Your problem is you got the oil on your hands and kept wiping your face. An "allergy" to capsaicin would affect you with any hot pepper, not just this one.
I grow hot peppers, but I treat them with respect. At least you did this to yourself, the videos of people doing it to their kid sisters or brothers, etc. are sick and I trust will be treated to some poetic justice. "Karma can be a bitch."
