On 25/26 May 2007 the people of Greystones were engaged in a project titled "24 Hours of Hard Labour".

In order to raise 96,000 Euro in a 24-hour period, 20 people would each have sponsorship of 100 Euro and spend 30 minutes breaking stones. An act of solidarity with children in the Philippines, as young as 6 or 7, who are put in jail.

In fact they raised over 140,000 Euro, exceeding everybody's expectations.

Were you there? Have you got your own images of this event? Feel free to post them in a video response. If you are not able to do this yourself but you would like to contribute, go to www.breakingstones.com or www.greystonesparish.com and contact us.
