An official said the drone was a target that was apparently shot down in the Gulf of Mexico as part of a weapons system evaluation program http://mediamonarchy.com

do remember people u can hate on people from alabama all you want it wont change that the people who found it probably had no interest at all about the airforce and probably dident even know they had training drones not everybody would have thought OMG a training drone.... no they thought holy hell its an UAV = spy plane based off of the predator the most comon UAV and it is used alot for recon

Uneducated Alabama beach goers. I thought we had dumb ones here in Texas but I was wrong.
Bright orange = spy drone? Right...
These drones have been used since the 1960's for target practice by fighter pilots. Not very sophisticated at all.
