Epilepsy can sure be a task in life... what part of the brain it affects, can affect completely different parts of each epileptic. Reactions to seizures, and even prior seizures completely vary. People with complex partial seizures have more of a tenancy to have mood issues and personality traits than others.

Do you know anything about VNS implant for seizures.

i was born with my epilepsy, scaring of the brain during fetal development. i also have A.D.D but i cant take anything for it cause the meds would lower the seizure barrier. i made it through college to get my bachelors but thats about the highlight of my career. i suffer from partial seizures, both simple and complex. the scaring throughout my brain makes it impossible to opperate. the scarring on the left temporal lobe makes my memory horrible as well. anyway just my .02. thanks.

apparently you've never been told by a doctor that there is no medicine that can competely control my seziures. i'm almost to toxic levels of meds 2000mg a day. I have a VNS, i can barely remember my name, i have been fired from 3 jobs, i know the bible very well. james is my favorive book, consider it pure joy brothers when troubles come your way, ect ect. i'm not a candidate for brain surgery, ive been to mayo, they installed my vns.

@bluesintheblood i have the same situation related to seizure... i always get's upset easily even with out a bases... i consulted a Dr. so months after i discovered i have a seizure i was also diagnose with mood disorder associated with depression. i committed suicide a lot of times.. i been taking medicine for mood disorder and deppresion.. i don't know if other have the same situation as me

I need to know more about the mood connection with seizures, where can I get answers, I just met someone show is going through diagnosis now, and I've seen her have a few episodes, perhaps either complex partial or absent type, triggered by seemingly emotional triggers, such as something said that triggers and emotional cue, or her own 'negative' emotional thought on something, then might star blankly, go quiet or sometimes get rather depressed and some last for minutes up to an hour or two????
