The Northwestern Pacific Railroad Historical society has found a Northwestern pacific MW car 242 which was NWP car #123 prior to that Central Pacific 1121 and Central Pacific #29 built in 1861. The NWPRRHS plans to restore this wooden passenger Car

  • What? No marker lights? This is a great way to display your efforts. On the whole, about how much was invested in the move? I'm assuming there were some donations of equipment. How did you find out about the car?

  • @PRR5406 The owners father worked for the NWP and he aproached the NWPRRHS with an offer of the car. With some sanding we found out that it was CP #29 built by Wason. Car was put in service in July 1861. Yes it cost a lot of money that is why the NWPRRHS is seeking donations of period parts or money
