I love how she's so knowledgeable. She's a respectable intellectual and I love how she calls the interviewer "My brotha." She probably is a great teacher to have.
This woman is truly inspirational. She mentions how America was shaped by people of all kinds of forms instead of just one race. She is optimistic about things and encourages me to think and evaluate prior to reasoning and making decisions about certain aspects of people and life.
She was very articulate on the how the black struggle helped to shape the future of america. The activism and passion for equality gave way to programs like African american studies and various other studies that educated minorities on their history. She still has the same fire in her that wants to make a difference in today's society.
I agree with her that the precautionary principle where we plan for what might happen is extremely important so that we do not have to worry about the aftermath of crisis as much. She is very intelligent and has a great point that life itself is a battle and we cannot just opt out after we have served a certain amount of time.
I admire that, no matter what she went through she is still able to stand strong and fight for her beliefs, and understands that this "battle" is a life long commitment. Her ideals on everything are truly inspirational.
She speaks with such a fiery passion that it's inspiring. Her commitment to being a leader, crusader, and passive fighter is more than spine chilling. She made a good point in saying that being a freedom fighter has no limit, it's until you take your last breath.
The blackademics is a great interview that talks about Sanchez viewpoint of communities and neighborhoods involvement in young children lives. Sanchez is a political activist that talks about all ethnicities need for education. I love her passion and desire for understanding the world that we live in and using her viewpoint to try to help others. -gebria b
I love how she wanted to teach about black history. "blackademics" is very important because as she said, this country was built on the labor of the black people. And not only was she wanting to work for blacks, but whites, poor people, latinos, and everyone that receives an education.
I like that she is still very active at her agae right now. I like that she said that younger activists should be passionate even when everything is ok...That way when something does come up everything will be planned already.
I agree with her point of planning and anticipating whats to come next, we wont always have to react once something negative has happened. I also LOVE her dedication to her work! despite her old age shes still on the forefronts fighting for what she believes in. -Nicole E.
