Calling the people you let rent your space "pets" is pretty common... Even some empire corporations are considered "pets" by other larger alliances because they provide some sort of service in exchange for said protection. Better a pet than unable to operate.

you could see in this video the utter disrespect they had for eachother, certainly one wouldnt expect them to treat others any better.

Bob was a group of complete and utter scumbags who deserved EVERYTHING that happened to them and more.
The worst is that they called their allies "Pets". Why? Because no one was their equal so they couldn't call anyone an ally. What kind of mind comes up with that kind of egotistical garbage? In the end that was what really sunk them because the whole game hated them and they didn't have any allies to help them.

Bob dying is a regretful for it started of the rewriting of the entire 0.0 alliance structure, However i do believe balance will come and a new bob will arise.
Simply due to the fact that the 2 mayor types in eve are Russians and goons, and we can't have them running it now can we?
people will gather and old friends will find one another again as always in eve.
