amazing but so expensive... i know someone that owns Ableton and Max/Msp and still has to pay for this piece of kit to use them together... bullshit in that respect.

This just about fills my wish list for a piece of musical software, It rips apart any limitation for me as a musician.

I cant wait till i can afford this..till then ill just start making loads of patches and getting ideas down.

does anyone know if max for live is still compatible with the novation launchpad or does the launchpad only work with live 8??

Why wouldn't it be? Live is Live, Max for Live is just an extension. Everything that works in Live will work with Max for Live

it's not only compatible, it's perfect: you can access the API (the innards of Live, as it were) with MaxForLive and control the lights and such on the unit, as well as get the button values directly into your patch. Highly recommended combo, that.

@serpz123 Launch pad is compatible with everything cuz its essentially a midi controller, but its designed to work with Ableton Live so it'll work better with that than anything else.
