Well, I was there for this, and I can safely say that it was mindblowing, fuck how out of key King Monkey was....I didn't notice at all on the night!!. Having spent years watching the Blackpool Live gig over and over, my Red Striped brain looked around the Academy at the balconies and waving arms and it all came together like I was actually back in 1989 in what I'd seen on the TV screen so many times. Spine-tingling. Roll on June!

6 people don't understand the magic of music and emotion.

That made me cry. Saw the Roses twice. The music holds up but you had to be there for the full effect. The world changed.

i dont think anyone there cares if sir brown is offkey a bit. not at all.

Ian is a little out of tune but who gives a fuck. Wish I had been there. Magical. Not like the shite that gets airplay today :(

Looks amaaaazing

I am dumbfounded by people always bashing John Squire's singing! John's voice is not the best, but even he sings better in tune than Ian Brown!
I've just played John's version of SBTD and he defnitely did a better job than Ian does here!

omg!! his vocal here is really bad, but yeah...who cares, his the king!

@ctidcarl Exactly!
Listen, this is the cut of it...
Who gives two fooks how he sounds??
That crowd is "mad" for Ian Brown and if any of us were there too, we'd all be acstatic.
Its not always about the sound - its about the Vibe.
And Brown and The Roses created one that has never been bettered.
