After four wars, Kashmiris and their land are divided between Pakistan and India, the source of recurring crises. The next war may well be a nuclear war. Pervez Amirali Hoodbhoy, a Professor of Physics at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, explores the nuclear and political situation in South Asia and beyond. • Well India is the only country in the world with No first use policy. That is called responsibility I think.

  • 1)India doesn't call it a Hindu bomb

2)Its army and its arsenal is in control of its people

3)India has no history of proliferation

4)It has unilaterally agreed upon no first use of its nuclear capabilities

  • Among Pakistanis Pervaiz Hoodbhoy is known as traitor....No one like him here in Pakistan. He was even once beaten by his own pupils in the University for speaking against Pakistan

  • this fucking liar doesn't talk about how indians imported their nuke program. he's a known liar and coward.

  • I am an Indian. For most part, this prof is very very balanced in his thinking and views.

Anyways, did the viewers notice something? He almost said 'Taking out the Indi..assests and later changed to 'taking out Iranian assets'...this is called

'Freudian slip' you give away yourself...he wanted to say 'taking out Indian assets but at the last moment,he changed to 'Iranian assets'...again,he is balanced but does not think India has valid reasons for going nuclear.

  • let me thnk...Pakistan got bobm in 14 years by making its network..then if in 1987 Iran got interest in it, by tht means it cud have reached to stage to make bobm by arnd 2001,,(might be less as they didnt have to do much homework on making network as A Q khan did)..so by nw Iran shud have a bomb ...hmm..n i thnk thts why US is nt trying to fight and will not fight against Iran..cheers..atleast pakistan prevented another bloody war..:)

  • Dr. Hoodbhoy missed another country when discussing India & Pakistan - that is China

    that changes perspectives a lot.

  • I don't know what the truth is, but I would be sceptical about trusting a single word written or spoken by Clinton.

    This is wrong...

The paki pm wanted to use nukes on India and the Precedent of the USA Bill Clinton got the info about this and they had a meeting about this in Washington.

And Mr. Clinton had warned Pakistan about using nukes.

It's all mentioned in Bill Clinton's autobiography where he mentions the then PM of Pakistan Nawab Sharif as "Sharifs moves were perplexing"

    (quoted from his autobiography)

  • Very informative. good work
