This is a video using the song "Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls. It shows how buying the cute little puppy at the pet store, even if you feel bad for it, supports the places these stores buy them from, puppy mills. Please help stop this by spaying/neutering your pets, supporting your local humane society, adopting, and by educating others. If you must have a purebred puppy look for a responsible breeder. This is someone who will let you see their facility, let you see one parent (at least), asks for references, has references of their own, wants to improve the breed, health screens, focusses on 1-2 breeds, and may have a waiting list (do not overbreed for profit). Please also educate yourself before getting any pet to be sure that your lifestyle fits what you are getting. Thanks and I appreciate feedback!!
this made me cry but i am planning to buy one but they are puppies and the people were done breeding them and t to put them in the pund but thats next year im getting him and idc what people say if you have a love for a dog from a breeder then get him or her just get a pond one next and help out there also advertise the shelters!!

@blitzchick12 responsible breeders do exist, but they're rather hard to find. If one wishes to get a particular breed of dog, the best strategy would be to wait a few months after Christmas, when the novelty of a new dog wears off and the responsibility begins, and see what hits the pound, chances are, if one really wants a particular breed of dog, one should be available. And yes, I vehemently support getting a dog from a shelter and I won't EVER buy a dog.

Do NOT think that you're getting a second rate dog if it comes from a shelter or rescue group. All AKC papers prove is that a dog is purebred, nothing about it's health, ability and temperament. I believe that a dog's health, ability and temperament is more important that papers. Keep in mind that many dogs on TV and circus dogs came from shelters, they weren't looking for papers ability. That should tell you something. Shelter dogs aren't second rate.

Sheltergirl, a responsible breeder?? One does not exist!! Anyone that breeds cats or dogs is contributing to the suffering of others!! They are bringing unnecessary life into an already overpopulated world.

I never said that. It couldn't have been happy being there. I'm sure the officer was taking him out of there. I meant being in the mill alone is painful.
